A leading multi-site logistics operation is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to oversee Health, Safety and Environmental performance across three North West locations. This senior role is central to ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operations, while embedding a strong safety culture and supporting ongoing business growth.
The EHS Manager will report to the senior operational leadership team and will be responsible for delivering all EHS operational requirements across multiple sites. The role supports the wider Operations function in the strategic delivery of centralised EHS standards across a 24/7/365 logistics environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Senior EHS lead responsible for delivering Health, Safety and Environmental standards across three North West logistics sites, ensuring compliance, consistency and excellence.
- Acts as a visible safety role model, driving a strong safety culture and promoting continuous improvement across a 24/7/365 operational environment.
- Ensures full statutory compliance, oversees audits, inspections and risk assessments, and leads investigations into incidents, hazards and near misses.
- Builds effective relationships with operational leaders, senior stakeholders, regulators, external partners and labour providers.
- Delivers clear EHS communication including safety campaigns, toolbox talks, briefings and management reporting.
- Provides leadership and development to a Senior EHS Advisor and an EHS Coordinator, supporting capability building across operational teams.
- Contributes to business planning, change programmes and operational improvement initiatives, ensuring timely follow-up on corrective actions.
- Supports EHS budget planning, cost control and investment appraisals to ensure value for money.
- Works flexibly across diverse operational environments, including quayside, vessels, conveyors and high-risk areas where PPE and safe systems of work are essential.

Our client, a respected manufacturer within the fastener industry, is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team. This role plays a key part in maintaining standards across the production process, from goods-in to final release, ensuring all products meet both internal and customer quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out inspections on incoming materials, components, and finished products in line with technical drawings and specifications.
Complete all booking-in processes and maintain accurate inspection records.
Identify, document, and manage any non-conforming materials or products.
Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure ongoing compliance throughout manufacturing.
Verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes using appropriate measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and thread gauges.
Work closely with production teams to address quality issues and promote best practices.
Raise and manage NCRs, liaising with suppliers and customers when required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with internal quality audits.
Ensure full traceability and documentation control in line with ISO and customer standards.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a fastener manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand measurement tolerances.
Skilled in the use of manual and digital measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.).
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
Experience in raising and managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality management software.
Engineering qualification (ONC, HNC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent) - Desirable
Experience with supplier or customer quality liaison - Desirable
Familiarity with continuous improvement tools such as 5S or root cause analysis - Desirable

Our client is looking for a dependable Shift Maintenance Engineer to support day-to-day maintenance and engineering needs across a high-speed production environment. This role is ideal for someone with a solid mix of mechanical, fabrication, and general engineering experience, who enjoys both reactive work and proactive maintenance.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on manufacturing equipment
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime
Respond quickly to breakdowns to keep production running efficiently
Support capital and improvement projects across the plant
Work across multiple disciplines, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and fabrication tasks
Collaborate with production teams to improve machine performance and reliability
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company H&S standards
Keep accurate records of all maintenance work and equipment status
Participate in relevant training and stay current with equipment and technology
Requirements
Must-Haves
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering
Minimum 10 years post-apprenticeship experience
Proven background in high-speed manufacturing (FMCG, automotive, or similar)
Solid mechanical engineering skills, including:
- Turning and milling
- Pneumatics and hydraulics
- Welding and fabrication
Ability to work independently and as part of a small engineering team
Flexible, reliable, and solutions-focused
Desirable
Experience with steel packaging machinery or materials
Basic electrical maintenance or PLC fault-finding skills
Good communication skills
Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to maintenance

The Candidate;
- Previous experience within a Transport operation within a planner position
- Experience of transport planning for a collection and backhaul network is desirable

- Ensuring drivers are up to date with any road problems and challenging drivers when needed to ensure Deliveries are on time
- Liaise with the Transport Planning Supervisor regarding the regular maintenance intervals
- To ensure the service expectations of customers are prioritised in regards of the delivery plan whilst actively maintaining a commercial awareness for profitability.
- To ensure that the drivers under your control are receiving a relevant start time and are correctly briefed on their day's activities prior to the start of their shift.
- Review driver routes and plan to maximise efficiency
- Keep all customers informed of all failed services or significant delays
- Provide the communication link between customers and drivers
- Supervising and managing driver workloads
- Managing your driver's daily activities in line with the Working Time Directive and Driving hours.
