About the Company 

A well-established and growing international company specialising in luxury windows and doors. With a global presence spanning eight international subsidiaries, the business has recently merged three companies to expand its product offering. This is an exciting time to join the company as it strengthens its international operations, requiring a highly skilled accountant to support the financial management of its global subsidiaries.

The Role – International Accounting Specialist 

Reporting directly to the UK-based Company Director and CFO, you will take ownership of the accounting processes for their international subsidiaries. This includes financial reporting, tax compliance, and managing multi-currency transactions. The role is highly analytical and strategic, ensuring that the company operates efficiently across its international markets.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Oversee financial management and compliance for eight international subsidiaries.
• Ensure adherence to international accounting, VAT, and tax regulations.
• Process and reconcile bank accounts and cross-border transactions.
• Support financial closures and reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Analyse import tariffs and develop cost-saving strategies.
• Collaborate with auditors, tax consultants, and legal teams.

What You Need to Succeed

Essential Skills & Experience: 

• Experience in international accounting, preferably within a multinational business or an accounting firm handling global clients.
• Strong knowledge of international financial regulations, tax laws, and VAT compliance.
• Ability to quickly adapt to different accounting systems.
• Experience managing multiple subsidiary accounts across different jurisdictions would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in using accounting software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams. Fluency in additional languages would be highly advantageous.
• Full right to work in the UK and ability to commute to the South West London based office.
