A global leader in metal recycling, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager for their Nottingham location. This is a fixed-term contract of 3 months, starting in December, with the potential to extend to 6 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day installation activities, ensuring projects progress smoothly and efficiently. You will also be tasked with eliminating any potential bottlenecks that may hinder project progression.
- Risk Management: Conducting detailed risk assessments will be a key part of your role. You will need to identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring adherence to all health and safety rules is paramount. You will need to ensure that all team members comply with these rules at all times.
- Systems Understanding: You will need to understand and implement safe systems, permitting, contract lift plans, and lockout-tagout procedures. A deep understanding of plant installations is also required.
- Communication: You will need to liaise effectively with team members, designers, and the principal contractor. Clear and effective communication is key to the success of this role.
Qualifications:
- Experience: You should have a deep understanding of Construction Design Management and experience in site management. Experience in mechanical and electrical installations is also required. You should also have experience managing projects around £1.1 million project installs.
- Industry Knowledge: A background in metal recycling or experience with industrial equipment would be favorable.
Skills:
- Communication: Excellent communication skills are essential for this role. You will need to be able to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- Reliability: You will need to be reliable and able to be on-call 24/7. This role requires a high level of commitment and dedication.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills and a can-do attitude are essential. You will need to be able to motivate team members and lead by example.
- Availability: You will need to be available on-site over the Christmas period and be a point of contact at all times.
