Beverley was the Senior Traffic Commissioner for Great Britain and Traffic Commissioner for the North West of England until she retired on 31st May 2017. In 2017, Beverley established Beverley Bell Consulting Ltd, which specialises in compliance reviews, governance and corporate responsibility and strategic development. The company also offers representation at Public Inquiries and advice on Appeals. In 2021, Beverley started a new venture, Beverley Bell Training Ltd. The company provides a range of training courses including Transport Manager CPC for goods and passenger operations, Transport Manager CPC refreshers, Operator Licence Awareness Training, and Driver CPC courses. In 2017, Beverley was awarded the CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to road safety and the freight industry.
